I first noticed the large glass canisters while watching Ina Garten on FoodNetwork. I then found them at Crate & Barrel and treated myself. I know have them prominently displayed on my kitchen counter filled with flour, sugar, old-fashioned oats and chocolate chips making my basics easily accessible for my baking and cooking.

My first exposure to a stand mixer was in the early 1970s baking with my grandmother who had a stand mixer from the 1950s. I couldn’t believe she had something so old, but now I get it. his may sound dramatic, but I cannot imagine having as much fun as I do in my kitchen without my KitchenAid stand mixer AND my Cuisinart food processor. They just make it so easy.
